MORIS Concludes the "Land Without Corruption" Project

This year, MORIS finalized the "Land Without Corruption" project, which we implemented throughout 2024 and 2025.

The project’s mission was to strengthen the protection of land relations participants and support the cultivation of a culture of zero tolerance toward corruption.

    Why is this important?

Land relations remain a high-risk area for corruption. Any "grey" practices or raiding scenarios undermine trust, cause significant losses for communities and private landowners, and hinder the development of the agricultural sector. Therefore, the project maintained a practical focus: providing clear, actionable algorithms that can be applied "here and now".

    "Land Without Corruption" in Numbers:

    • 700 cases in the field of land relations investigated
    • 310 free consultations provided to citizens and businesses
    • 20 advisory and analytical materials published
    • 11 draft laws analyzed for corruption risks
    • 2 major events held for discussion and practice dissemination
    • 3 educational modules created
    • 101 participants who completed the training

    Key Project Deliverables:

    1) Manual: "Recommendations for Combating Corruption and Raiding in Land Relations" This is a practical guide featuring applied advice and algorithms. Specifically, it outlines what to do if officials solicit an improper advantage during land service procedures (documenting circumstances, maintaining calm communication, reporting to competent authorities, etc.).

    2) Three-Module Training Course:

    • "Countering Corruption in the Land Sector"
    • "Combating Land Corruption"
    • "How to Protect Yourself from Raiding"

The modules are structured to ensure participants gain clear algorithms and practical knowledge to defend their rights.

The "Land Without Corruption" project was implemented by MORIS with the support of the AGRO Program, funded by the U.S. Government and implemented by Chemonics International.

We extend our gratitude to our partners and all participants for their trust and collective efforts toward transparent land relations.
