The legal aspects of the unification of churches into a single Orthodox Church of Ukraine
On 15 December 2018, a single autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine was formed at the Unification Council, which included the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate and the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church.
MORIS provided legal support during the unification and joining of religious organizations to the established Orthodox Church of Ukraine, including providing legal assistance in the state registration of the creation of a religious center - the Kyiv Metropolis of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (OCU).
Senior Partner Maryan Martynuyk gave a comment for the Politico article, where he shared his opinion about the legal aspects of the unification of churches into a single Orthodox Church of Ukraine, as well as about the legal disputes with the Moscow Patriarchate and the existing bills to ban the work of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine.
